Paste (Ctrl+V), drop or click to load an image

Paste or load an image to edit

Mark up screenshots and photos in the browser with text, arrows, shapes, numbered steps or freehand drawing. Crop or rotate the image, blur, pixelate or black out private details, add a filter or a background, then copy or save it.

How to use

  1. Paste an image with Ctrl+V, drop a file on the page or press Load.
  2. Pick a tool and annotate. Hold Shift to constrain (square, circle, 45°) or Alt / Ctrl to draw from the centre.
  3. Select a shape or text to change it. The arrow keys nudge it (10 px with Shift). The bin at the end of the options bar deletes it, and More (⋯) next to the bin duplicates it (Ctrl+D) or brings it to the front or sends it to the back (] and [).
  4. Pick the Filter tool, tap a filter to preview it, and press Apply to keep it. You can remove it later from History.
  5. Undo with the undo button or Ctrl+Z. Open History to revert any single edit.
  6. Copy with Ctrl+C (as PNG), or press Save. Pick PNG, or pick JPEG or WebP, set the quality and press the Download button below it. Ctrl+S saves at once in the format you last picked (PNG at first).

FAQ

Do my images ever leave my device?

No. Editing happens in your browser.

Are my images kept?

Only if you choose to. With history on, your recent images stay in this browser and History reopens them. Turn it on in the question after your first image, or with the switch at the top of History. With it off, only the image you're editing is kept, for its tab, and it's deleted the next time you open the editor after closing the tab.
