Paste (Ctrl+V), drop or click to load an image

Crop an image online

Trim a screenshot or photo to a ratio or an exact size, or drag its edges in. You can rotate or flip it too.

How to crop an image

  1. Paste an image with Ctrl+V, drop a file on the page or press Load.
  2. The crop tool starts with a box around the whole image, or as much of it as your ratio allows. Drag an edge or a corner inward, or drag across the image to draw a new box.
  3. Leave the ratio free or pick one, and drag the box to move it.
  4. Press Apply or Enter, then copy with Ctrl+C or save as PNG, JPEG or WebP.

Crop to 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 and more

Pick 1:1 for a square avatar or thumbnail, 4:5 for a portrait post, 16:9 for a slide or video frame, or 9:16 for a story. 4:3 and 3:2 match most camera photos, and Original keeps the image's own shape. The box holds its ratio as you drag. Crop first, then mark it up with arrows or text.

Crop to an exact size

Type the width and height in pixels. With a ratio picked, the other side follows: 800 wide at 16:9 is 800 × 450. A size bigger than the image stops at its edges.

Rotate or flip before you crop

The four buttons at the start of the crop bar turn the image a quarter turn left or right, or mirror it side to side or top to bottom. With the crop tool open, [ and ] also rotate. Anything you drew turns with the image, and text stays upright so it still reads left to right. Each turn is one undo step.

FAQ

Can I undo a crop?

Yes. One undo (Ctrl+Z) brings the original framing back.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Cropping runs locally in your browser, and the image never leaves your device.
