Apply a filter to a photo online
Give a photo a look such as Vivid, Warm, Mono or Sepia.
How to apply a filter
- Paste a photo with Ctrl+V, drop a file on the page or press Load.
- The Filter tool is open. Tap a preset to preview it on the whole image. To set how much of the filter shows, drag Strength sideways with a mouse, or tap it for a slider.
- Press Apply to keep it. To add another filter on top, press Filter again (on a phone, swipe the toolbar back to it).
- Undo with the undo button or Ctrl+Z, or revert a filter from History. Then copy, or save as PNG, JPEG or WebP, with a quality setting for JPEG and WebP.
Make a photo black and white
Mono makes a photo black and white, and Noir does the same with more contrast.
What the other filters do
Sepia gives a photo a brown tone. Retro and Film imitate Kodachrome and Technicolor film. Warm and Cool shift the colour, Vivid and Punch raise saturation and contrast (Punch also sharpens), and Fade lowers contrast and colour. Dream brightens the photo and softens it with a slight blur.
FAQ
Why is there no Filter button?
Filters need WebGL. Where the browser has it turned off, there's no Filter button, and a note says why.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Filtering runs locally in your browser, and the photo never leaves your device.
